Description

Leo and the Octopus tells the story of little Leo, who has autism, which makes it difficult for him to communicate with his fellow humans on a daily basis.
One day he goes to the aquarium and is introduced to Maya: an octopus. Until then, the boy knew little about these sea creatures, but curious as he is, he reads what he can find. And eventually, he even plans a special day of the week for Maya – Friday is now Octopus Day! Maya uses her eight tentacles to help Leo find his way around the world and allows him to do something he never thought possible: the beginning of a friendship.

Isabelle Marinov's own experiences inspired this moving story about the daily struggles of living with autism, and Chris Nixon's illustrations will literally immerse you in the pages.

Together with Martine Schoellen, the author translated the book from English into Luxembourgish.
