Varietal (s): 100% Tinta Barroca Vinification: The grapes are harvested manually in September in boxes of 20 kg. In the cellar before being scraped, they spend 12 hours on a cooling chamber at 10 ° C. The fermentation takes place in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts at 25 º C. The grapes come from a plot to Meda (Douro Superior) 600 meters north facing the transition from schist to granite soils. Aged 9 months in cement vats. Tasting note: A beautiful, light red color with little intensity. The nose is intense and pleasant on aromas of raspberry and rose. The attack on the palate is supple with a velvety tannin grain on aromas of red fruits and spices. The finish is long and delicate on spices. Serving temperature: 15 ° C Food and wine pairings: Perfect accompaniment to grilled red meats. Potential for aging: To be tasted today and within 2 to 3 years in a good cellar.
