Grape variety(s): 95% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and Colorino. Winemaking: Hand-picked grapes. Fermentation in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks, aging in French oak barrels for 10 to 12 months before bottling and 6 months in bottle. Tasting notes: The color is intense purple red with garnet reflections. The nose is powerful and rich in aromas of black cherry, cocoa, white pepper, and eucalyptus. The attack on the palate is full, unfolding into flavors of cherry, plum, and light roasting. The finish is long with pleasant tannins. Serving temperature: 15°C. Food pairing: Ideal with grilled red meat or osso bucco. Aging potential: Can be enjoyed today and for up to 4 to 6 years.
